(Lansing, MI) – Bills to implement Proposal 2 that was passed by voters in November have been sent to Governor Whitmer. The state House passed the package yesterday to expand elections to nine days of early, in-person voting. The bills require state-funded absentee ballot drop boxes, state-funded postage for those to be mailed in, allows voters to verify their identity with a photo ID or a signed statement, and allows voters to be on an automatic absentee ballot list every election. T

he bills have some bipartisan support, but House Republican leader Matt Hall says key security measures have been removed.
