(New York, NY) –A new report says the U.S. and Israel could be preparing for possible military strikes against Iran. The “Wall Street Journal” says the U.S. has told several Gulf Arab countries to be prepared for a short, intense military campaign after the midterm elections, in hopes of pushing Iran toward negotiations. The report says the U.S. is sending an additional Patriot system to Israel to beef up its missile defenses, and that U.S. forces in the region have been restocking their munitions.
It also claims an additional aircraft carrier strike group and Marine expeditionary unit are prepared to join an armada in the Middle East next month.
