By Mary Ellen Murphy Oct 27, 2026 | 7:54 AM

Ottawa County, MI (WGHn) – The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners meet this morning. One of the items on the agenda is a to consider whether to formally join the state review of the proposed Silver Maple Solar project. The development would cover nearly 19-hundred acres in Zeeland and Jamestown townships and needs approval from the Michigan Public Service Commission. Joining the case would give the county a formal role as regulators consider the proposal.

The meeting is at 9:00 a.m. at the Fillmore street complex and is streamed on the county youtube page.

Ottawa County Administrator Patrick Waterman gave a presentation last week at Grand Haven’s City Council meeting:

At that GH Council meeting Board Chair Josh Brugger was named Construction Board of Appeals, term ending December 31, 2026.

At today’s board meeting Sheriff Deboer will be presenting awards this morning as well. Find the agenda here.
