(Grand Rapids, MI) – The Kent County Sheriff’s Office says the Flock Safety camera that was vandalized yesterday morning in Courtland Township was the ninth that has been vandalized this year. A small fire was sparked at the camera’s location on 14 Mile Road near Northland Drive and it’s under investigation for either being set on purpose or was the result of the damage done.

Kent County has 62 Flock Safety cameras in the county, positioned on county-maintained roads and automatically read license plates of all passing vehicles.
