(Dearborn, MI) – The average price for a gallon of gas in Michigan is 19-cents higher than last week at four-dollars-66-cents a gallon. Triple-A Michigan says that is up 35-cents from last month and is a dollar-73 more than what we paid at this time last year.

President Trump says gas prices will start coming down “soon.” He made the comment while referencing the war in Iran during remarks at a Columbus Day event he hosted at the White House on Friday.

Trump said Americans will see gas prices below two-dollars per gallon. He noted that he saw gas prices in Iowa at a-dollar-95 and a-dollar-85 per gallon just before the start of the Iran war. Triple A reported Friday’s national average for a gallon of regular gas ticked up to four-dollars-and-37-cents.
