(Grand Rapids, MI) – The stage is set for Michigan’s first U.S. Senate debate tonight. Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed will face off against former Republican Representative Mike Rogers in Grand Rapids. El-Sayed is looking to reassure moderate Democrats and other skeptical groups after a close victory over Representative Haley Stevens in the August primary. Meanwhile, Rogers has characterized his Democratic opponent as too far-left.
A recent Fox News survey shows a close race, as 50 percent of likely voters backed El-Sayed while 49 percent supported Rogers, which is within the margin of error. 92.1 and the Michigan Association of Broadcasters will be airing the WOOD Tv 8 debate. It will also be streamed online at 7:00 p.m. right here.
