Ford House has been named a 2026 Best of Michigan winner in the Museums category by Guide to Michigan, earning statewide recognition as one of Michigan’s standout museum destinations. The annual Best of Michigan awards celebrate businesses, organizations and attractions across the state, with Ford House earning a place among this year’s recognized museums.
The historic estate of Edsel and Eleanor Ford, Ford House welcomes visitors to experience the couple’s home, collections, gardens, and grounds along the shores of Lake St. Clair. A National Historic Landmark, the estate shares the Ford family’s story while connecting history, architecture, art, landscape, and community.
Today, a visit to Ford House extends well beyond a traditional museum experience. Throughout the year, guests can explore the Main Residence, walk the grounds and gardens, participate in educational programs and special events, experience seasonal programming, shop at The Shop, and/or dine at The Continental.
The 2026 Best of Michigan recognition celebrates what Ford House has long worked to be: a historic place that remains active, relevant, and offers belonging to the community.
