(Cleveland, OH) – About ten million Americans are not seeking treatment for high blood pressure despite being eligible. That’s according to research from the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. Doctor Grant, a cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic says hypertension may account for up to 300-thousand deaths that could be prevented if one is able to get blood pressure under control.
He says symptoms may not be noticeable so blood pressure screenings in childhood and adulthood should be done at checkups.
