(Dallas, TX) – President Trump is sending out 500-dollar Obamacare refunds to some enrollees starting today. Nearly a million people are eligible in 30 states that use the federally-operated exchange to buy insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act, the formal name for Obamacare. The money comes after enrollees were hit with massive insurance premiums after Congress let subsidies expire at the end of 2025. Recipients would mostly be those in middle-income households that don’t currently receive federal assistance to pay for insurance premiums.
In letters that come with the checks, Trump says enrollees were overcharged by the Biden administration.
