Fruitport, MI (WGHN) – A bicyclist is dead and a motorcyclist is hospitalized with serious injuries following two separate crashes in Fruitport Thursday.
Fruitport Police say a 66-year-old Muskegon man riding an e-bike was struck by a vehicle near Westshore Plaza on East Sherman Boulevard shortly after 5:00 p.m.The man was taken to Trinity Health Muskegon, where he later died from his injuries. Police say the driver involved is cooperating with the investigation.
About an hour later, police were called to Oak Avenue near East Broadway for a report of a motorcycle crash.
A 37-year-old Fruitport man was found in the roadway and taken to Trinity Health Muskegon with serious injuries.
Police say no other vehicles were involved in that crash.
