(Kalamazoo, MI) – Pollsters with GBAO say the Fourth Congressional District race is nearly tied, with state Senator Sean McCann leading Congressman Bill Huizenga 47-to-46-percent. The Democratic state lawmaker has a 50-percent-to-36-percent lead among independent voters and 51-percent to 43-percent lead among voters who can identify both candidates. The poll found 56-percent of voters in the west Michigan district view President Trump unfavorably, compared to 39-percent who approve of the job he’s doing.
Huizenga’s campaign downplayed the poll results.
