Congratulations go out to Hailey Dehare, our thirteenth and final winner of “Big Fish Brooksy’s Tackle Giveaway & Fishing Contest” for 2026! Hailey says her favorite fish to catch are bass and bluegill, and she is a better fisherman than her brother.
We would like to thank all the kids who entered the contest this year! Your enthusiasm about getting out on the water was inspiring and meant a lot to all of us here at WGHN, especially our good friend Brooks Wheeler.
Also, thanks to everyone who donated buckets, rods, reels, bait, lures, and other assorted fishing gear for the youngsters. It’s a safe bet that will get them off their gadgets for a while and get back to nature, which is what Big Fish Brooksy wanted.
