CNN, MS NOW, Politico Sue Over White House Ban

(Washington, DC) – The White House television press pool will stop covering President Trump’s events after the White House banned three outlets. Reporters for CNN, MS NOW and Politico were barred from the White House after Trump accused the organizations of negative coverage. The three outlets notified the White House this morning they are taking legal action against the administration. The New York Times reports a note to pool members from Fox News’ Washington bureau chief said, “Effective today, the TV pool will not be covering events designated as pool coverage of the President.” CNN, NBC, Fox, ABC and CBS make up the White House television press pool.

Trump defended his decision in a Truth Social post this morning saying, “The White House is not instituting an assault on the Free Press,” but rather “instituting an assault on the fake news.”
