Allendale Twp., MI (WGHN) – A 34-year-old Grandville-area man has been arrested in connection with a series of incidents at off-campus housing in Allendale Township. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says it has investigated 12 reports since September of last year involving a man looking through apartment windows and recording female residents.

In some cases, an unknown man entered apartments.

The latest incident happened early Sunday morning, when deputies say a man entered an apartment around 4:30 a.m. while female residents were sleeping. One woman woke up and called police, but the suspect left before deputies arrived. Investigators identified a suspect using several investigative techniques, including Flock cameras.

The 34-year-old was arrested Wednesday in Georgetown Township and taken to the Ottawa County Jail.

His name has not been released because he is awaiting formal charges and arraignment.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office or Silent Observer.
