Merriam-Webster Adds 1,400 To Dictionary

(Springfield, MA) – Merriam-Webster is adding 14-hundred new words to its dictionary including words stemming from social media like “looksmaxxing,” “parasocial,” and “Rickroll.” And in the food category, it added items including cake pop, shishito, bao and chili crisp.

Other modern terms now have official definitions, like cuffing season, crashout, and the Sunday scaries.
