(Detroit, MI) – The Detroit Lions escaped their season opener against the New Orleans Saints with a 31-30 victory in overtime at Ford Field. Detroit’s defense denied a two-point conversion attempt in the extra period to secure the win. Jahmyr Gibbs ran for a couple touchdowns, while Amon-Ra St. Brown caught two TD passes.
The Lions are 1-and-0 and will visit the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football.
