(Austin, TX) – Whole Foods is recalling dozens of items containing jalapenos in 12 states. Though no cases of salmonella linked to jalapenos have been reported in Iowa, the company is recalling salsas, guacamoles, dips, and condiments containing jalapenos sold at the West Des Moines store. No illnesses have been reported in connection to the Whole Foods products. It affects stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. The recall comes just days after Taylor Farms announced it would be voluntarily recalling its products that include jalapenos, which were sold at Target, Kroger, Walmart and Trader Joe’s in 26 states.

A full list of recalled items is available on the FDA’s website.
