Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – The City of Grand Haven is a purple heart community. Across the country, several local governments have enacted proclamations establishing themselves as Purple Heart Communities in recognition and honor of military servicemen and women who were wounded in action, died of wounds received in action or were killed in action.
A ceremony takes place Friday with the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post 28.
