Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – A Grand Haven man was seriously injured Wednesday morning after a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV in Grand Haven Township.
The crash occurred around 10:05 a.m. at the intersection of Timberview Drive and 172nd Avenue, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said a 54-year-old man was riding his motorcycle south on 172nd Avenue when an 83-year-old driver pulled a Toyota Highlander from Timberview Drive into the motorcycle’s path.
The motorcyclist sustained serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries and was transported by ambulance to a Muskegon hospital for treatment.
The SUV driver and his passenger were not injured. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash.
