Road: 136th Avenue
Closed Between: Port Sheldon Street and New Holland Street
Location: Olive Township, Ottawa County

Closure Begins: Monday, July 20, 2026
Expected Reopening: Friday, August 7, 2026 (weather permitting)

Reason for Closure:
Installation of a City of Wyoming water transmission line as part of the regional Third Transmission Main project, which is expanding and improving the area’s drinking water infrastructure.

Detour Route:
Port Sheldon Street → 144th Avenue → New Holland Street

The project is part of a multi-year effort to improve the reliability of the regional water transmission system serving more than 250,000 residents in Ottawa and Kent counties.

If you travel through Olive Township regularly, expect extra travel time and consider using the posted detour until the work is complete.
