President Trump Wants Investigation Into 2020 Elections In Michigan

(Rochester, MI) — President Donald Trump is calling for an investigation into alleged voter fraud in the 2020 election in Michigan that he lost to President Joe Biden. Oakland University political science professor David Dulio says if there are a few hundred thousand non-citizens on the voter registration rolls as Trump claims, that should be easy to prove.

In his primetime address Thursday night, Trump said Michigan State Police “raided a Democratic Get Out the Vote” organization, referred their findings to the FBI who “believed that crimes were committed,” and said “the Biden Department of Justice slow-walked the investigation and killed it.” He says he wants the FBI director “to ensure that the matter is fully investigated and to work with the Department of Justice to prosecute those responsible for any crimes.” Trump and his allies have long claimed the 2020 election was stolen from him, though multiple investigations have proven them wrong.

Democrats in Michigan are united in their message that there was no voter fraud in the state’s 2020 election. Governor Gretchen Whitmer says elections in the state are safe and secure, adding “any suggestion otherwise is designed to undermine our voters’ basic rights.” She says President Trump’s claim of voter fraud in his primetime address last night “has been debunked by experts time and time again.” Democrats on the state House Election Integrity Committee say Trump is using his office to interfere with the 2026 election and scare Americans away from voting.
