(Philadelphia, PA) – Detroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene will start as the American League’s left fielder in tonight’s All-Star Game in Philadelphia.
Greene will bat eighth for the A.L. He has hit 13home runs this season, driven in 45, and has a .288 batting average. Greene, catcher Dillon Dingler, shortstop Kevin McGonigle, and pitcher Justin Verlander were all named to the All-Star team.
Verlander will not pitch, but will make his tenth career All-Star appearance.
