(Washington, DC) – The U.S. and Canada have reached a deal to open a new multibillion dollar bridge linking Detroit and Windsor, Ontario. The Gordie-Howe International Bridge will now open July 27th and become the fourth major crossing between Detroit and Canada. The one-point-five mile bridge was originally set to open last month, but was put off due to a disagreement over revenue.
President Trump announced on Truth Social Saturday that he was “able to cut a much better deal for America,” after threatening to block the bridge’s opening unless the U.S. had an ownership stake in it.
