Grand Haven Twp., MI (WGHN) –  A 34-year-old Grand Haven Township man has pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges after admitting he secretly took inappropriate photos of an unclothed child.

Lucas Christopher Spink entered guilty pleas Monday in Ottawa County Circuit Court to child sexually abusive activity, using a computer to commit a crime, and capturing or distributing an image of an unclothed person.

Court records show Spink secretly took multiple photos of a child under the age of 16 between November 2024 and January 2026 and kept the images on his cell phone.

The Grand Haven Tribune reports that as part of a plea agreement, one count of possession of child sexually abusive material was dismissed, and prosecutors agreed not to pursue sentencing as a third habitual offender. Spink will also be required to register under Michigan’s Sex Offender Registration Act.

Spink has previous felony convictions in Ottawa County for safe breaking in 2013 and cocaine possession in 2016.

Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 10. The judge said the current sentencing guidelines of 24 to 48 months suggest there is a strong possibility Spink will receive a prison sentence
