(Washington, DC) — Communities across the country are marking the nation’s 250th birthday with major events in Philadelphia, Boston, New York and Washington, DC. New York Harbor is hosting one of the key celebrations as dozens of tall ships from around the world take part in a massive International Parade of Sail followed by a flyover led by the Navy’s Blue Angels. Millions are expected to gather tonight for the nation’s signature Independence Day fireworks displays including the big Macy’s show in New York.
The Boston Pops will stage its annual fireworks spectacular with huge crowds expected on the National Mall for the “Salute to America 250” celebrations in Washington, DC.
