Wright Twp., MI (WGHN) – A 22-year-old Coopersville man suffered life-threatening injuries Friday morning after his motorcycle collided with a bus in Wright Township.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 10:21 a.m. at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Roosevelt Street.
Investigators said the bus was traveling west on Roosevelt Street and had stopped at the two-way stop before entering the intersection. Witnesses reported that as the bus crossed 8th Avenue, it pulled into the path of a southbound motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the side of the bus.
The motorcyclist was transported to a Grand Rapids hospital, where he remained in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was temporarily closed as deputies collected evidence and investigated the cause of the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
