(Park Township, MI) – A bystander at Holland State Park saved the lives of two girls who were struggling in the water yesterday afternoon. The teenagers were screaming for help near the north pier around 2 p.m. and the bystander tossed one of the life rings from the pier to them. They were able to safely get out of the water before firefighters arrived on the scene.
Michigan Department of Natural Resources staff helped them climb on to the pier.
