(Newaygo County, MI) – A landslide warning has been issued for the Muskegon River in Newaygo County. The sheriff’s office says the landslides are happening between mile markers 3 and 4 along the river and are impacting nearby homes and shoreline properties. That area is between Pine Avenue and South Hazelwood Avenue in Brooks Township.
Heavy rain in April weakened a 150-foot tall riverbank and caused it to collapse and cause an “imminent threat.”
