(Wayland Township, MI) – A rollover crash involving a Life EMS ambulance just before 7 p.m. Wednesday in Allegan County has injured three people. The patient who was being treated in the ambulance was airlifted from the scene on northbound US-131 near Wayland in serious condition to a Grand Rapids hospital. Both the ambulance driver and the paramedic who was treating the patient were also sent to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A pickup truck driver who was behind the ambulance fell asleep and crashed into the ambulance, causing it to roll.
