(Lansing, MI) – It might be tougher for teenagers in Michigan to find a job this summer. That’s according to the summer teen employment forecast released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget. The teen unemployment rate this summer is expected to be 18-percent, about the same as last year but a lot higher than the 11-point-six-percent jobless rate for teenagers in 2024.
The overall unemployment rate in Michigan is five-percent.
