(Hope Town, Bahamas) — Police in the Bahamas are trying to find the body of a Michigan woman who is thought to have been swept out to sea. NBC’s George Solis [[ soh-LEASE ]] says 56-year-old Lynette Hooker was reported missing by her husband Brian early Sunday.
He told police that without the key, he had to paddle back to shore. Hooker’s daughter, Karli Aylesworth, says her mother and stepfather had been sailing for the past decade and were documenting their trip to the Bahamas on social media.
Solis reports that Hooker’s husband, Brian, told police she fell into the water Saturday evening, taking the boat’s key with her.
Hooker’s daughter Karli Aylesworth says she hasn’t heard anything from police in the Bahamas.
