WHY: Road Resurfacing
BACKGROUND: Beginning the week of April 6, 2026, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission are scheduled to begin work on a resurfacing project on 36th Ave. between Truman St. and Sherman St. in Chester Twp.
Work is expected to last through early May 2026, however all work is weather-dependent, and completion dates are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Traffic will be maintained using temporary lane closures under flag control during work hours. Be prepared for possible delays when traveling through this area while work is taking place.

WHY: Sanitary Sewer
BACKGROUND: On Monday, April 6, 2026, John F. Donnelly Dr. between Greenly St. and Quincy St. in Holland Twp. will be closed for permitted sanitary sewer work.
This closure is estimated to last through May 15, 2026, however all work is weather dependent and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: A detour route will consist of Quincy St./136th Ave./Riley St.
Road Closure: 48th Ave., Warner St. to Bliss St., Allendale Twp., begins April 6
WHAT: Road Closure
WHEN: Apil 6-7, 2026
WHERE: 48th Ave., Warner St. to Bliss St., Allendale Twp.
WHY: Culvert Replacement
BACKGROUND: On Monday, April 6, 2026, 48th Ave. between Warner St. and Bliss St. in Allendale Twp. will be closed for a culvert replacement project.
This closure is estimated to last through April 7, 2026, however all work is weather dependent and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: There will be no posted detour route.
