(Ionia County, MI) – Traffic backups are expected as the next phase of construction on I-96 in Ionia County begins. MDOT says that beginning today, work on a nine mile stretch of I-96 between Bliss and Sunfield roads will begin. Within the next few weeks, traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction.
This phase of construction is expected to continue through November.
