Fruitport, MI (WGHN) – Fruitport Community Schools is investigating a reported threat involving a middle school student that has been circulating on social media. Superintendent Jason Kennedy says the report came in Sunday, prompting immediate action by school officials and local law enforcement.
The district is working with the Fruitport Township Police Department and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities have conducted a home visit, and the student involved has been removed from school while the investigation continues.
School officials say it is safe for students to attend classes, emphasizing that all threats are taken seriously and that safety remains the top priority.
