(Undated)  –  Airline passengers will likely face even more travel disruptions tied to TSA staffing shortages as the partial government shutdown continues.
NBC’s Maggie Vespa reports:
Starting today, three terminal security checkpoints at Philadelphia International Airport are being temporarily closed because of the staffing shortages.  And the TSA’s acting deputy administrator now says some airports may have to be closed if callout rates continue to climb.  In the meantime, it is, at times, taking passengers three hours or more to get through security lines at some airports.
Vespa reports that according to the TSA, more drastic steps may soon be needed to handle staffing shortages.
