Winter Weather Advisory, High Winds Expected in West Michigan

Grand Rapids, MI (WGHN) – The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 8:00 a.m. Monday through 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 17.

 WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8  inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions  could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes.  Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Slow down and use caution while traveling.
Wind Advisory IND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING…
 WHAT…Northwest winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. * WHERE…Kent, Ottawa, Lake, Mason, Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana  Counties. * WHEN…Until 11 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
