(Lansing, MI) – The group of Republican electors who were criminally charged for signing a document saying they were the “duly electors” in the 2020 presidential election in Michigan say they will sue Attorney General Dana Nessel. She charged the 16 fake electors in 2023 but said this week she will not appeal the district court judge’s dismissal of charges against 15 of them. The 16th had their charges dismissed in a plea deal reached with the AG’s office. Meshawn Maddock, one of the Republican electors, says Nessel “and her far-left persecutors need to learn, perhaps the hard way, that her out-of-control legal behavior is unacceptable.”

The GOP electors had claimed President Donald Trump won the 2020 election in Michigan, but he lost it to President Joe Biden.
