(Lansing, MI) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says the state and over two-dozen others are rejecting the settlement between the U.S. Department of Justice and Live Nation Entertainment. Nessel says Michigan “will not be a party to the preposterous settlement negotiated” and says Live Nation “ran to the political leadership of the DOJ, where crony corruption carried the day.” She added the settlement does not address the monopoly and that was central to the antitrust lawsuit.
Live Nation says they will sell at least 13 amphitheaters across the U.S. and pay a 280-million-dollar fine.
