(Union City, MI) – An Ann Arbor family returned to their vacation home in Union City this weekend after it was destroyed in an EF-3 tornado that leveled the home and many others Friday. Steve and Pam Kohler bought the home with her sister-in-law nearly 20 years ago for family vacations and a neighbor told them he was watching the news on TV when the front of his home fell on top of him.
Laura Schaible of Ann Arbor bought her family’s vacation home in Union City nearly 20 years ago with her sister and brother-in-law and says while they weren’t there Friday when an EF-3 tornado destroyed the home and others, a neighbor was home.
