(Toronto) – Being a bird watcher might be good for your brain. A Canadian study published this week in the Journal of Neuroscience says bird watching may enhance cognitive function as you grow older. The researchers from Toronto studied the brains of 58 bird watchers, half of them experts and the other half novices. The study showed the brains of experts had modifications in regions associated with attention and perception, and showed the experts were better at object recognition and task performance skills.
