(Muskegon, MI) – The nonprofit Fresh Coast Alliance in Muskegon is planning to expand sober living homes thanks to a one-million-dollar grant. The money is coming from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis and will be used to remodel four of their five homes and nearly double their capacity.
Executive director Joy Sparks says the need for housing for people who have served time in prison has never been greater and says they are seeing “a huge increase in the number of men and women that need housing” after serving long sentences.
