City of Grand Haven to meet tonight

Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Grand Haven City Council will meets tonight. Finance Director Emily Greene is expected to present the initial draft of the proposed 2026-27 fee schedule.

On the agenda, two public hearings which will focus on redevelopment of the former Floto’s building at 123 Washington Ave.

Council members are scheduled to hold public hearings on a proposal to create an Obsolete Property Rehabilitation District and on approval of a Brownfield Plan for the downtown site. Both steps are required before the council can take formal action on the redevelopment plans.

A separate public hearing will address the filing of a special assessment roll for the city’s Principal Shopping District.

The agenda also includes review of an agreement between Grand Haven Memorial Airpark and the Grand Haven Board of Light and Power, along with consideration of a contract for 2026 street resurfacing.

City of Ferrysburg meets tonight as well.
