Doctor Shares Keys To A Healthy Heart

(Cleveland, OH) – A health expert is reminding Americans the steps needed to take to keep the heart healthy and strong. Grant Reed, a cardiologist with the Cleveland Clinic says eating a healthy diet, avoiding smoking and alcohol and staying active will protect cardiac health. Health experts recommend getting at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise each week, which helps strengthen the heart.

Reed says when it comes to eating, the focus should be on fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and healthy fats.
