Egelston Twp., MI (WGHN) – The Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office says two people were killed in a Wednesday morning crash in Egelston Township.
The crash happened shortly after 10:15 a.m. Wednesday on Maple Island Road, north of N. Sullivan Road. Investigators believe a northbound car lost control, crossed the center line and hit a southbound semi tanker truck hauling propane. The impact pinned the car between the truck and a guardrail.
Authorities say the driver, a 51-year-old woman, and her 9-year-old passenger died from their injuries. The tanker driver was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
