(Lansing, MI) — Michigan is investing more than 37-million dollars into long-term recovery. The State Department of Health and Human Services announced yesterday that the money is from opioid settlement funds. The money will go specifically toward housing for residents who are leaving treatment facilities.

Michigan has made incredible progress on the opioid front, as the state’s drug overdose rate has dropped by 36 percent since 2023.
