Michigan Offers New STEM Grants for Educators

(Lansing, MI) – Michigan is offering up to 50-thousand dollars in new MiSTEM Playbook Mini Grants to help schools and community partners create hands-on STEM programs for students. The state will award 16 grants to support project-based, problem-based, and place-based learning tied to local industries and real-world challenges. Officials say the funding is meant to spark curiosity, build career awareness, and strengthen connections between classrooms and Michigan’s growing innovation sectors.

Applications are open through January 9th, 2026, with districts, education agencies, tribes, and community partners encouraged to apply.
