(Lansing, MI) – The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is urging people to get their flu vaccine. Estimates from the United Kingdom say this year’s flu shot is preventing up to 75 percent of flu-related hospital visits for children and between 30 and 40 percent for adults.
The DHHS says Michigan currently has just 18 percent vaccination coverage for flu season.
