OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WGHN) – A 20-year-old man was taken to the hospital Saturday evening after being thrown from his vehicle during a crash in Georgetown Township.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to Cottonwood Drive near Chicago Drive around 6:50 p.m. Investigators report that a black Chevrolet Blazer was traveling south on Cottonwood when a red GMC Sierra, driven by a 16-year-old boy, failed to stop for a red light on Chicago Drive.
The Sierra struck the Blazer, causing the Blazer’s driver — who was not wearing a seatbelt — to be ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
