(Sidney, MI) – The White House Christmas tree has been harvested from Korson’s Tree Farms in Sidney Township. The tree will be displayed in the Blue Room of the White House. It is the first time a tree from Michigan has been chosen to be the official White House Christmas tree since 1984. Korson’s Tree Farms was chosen for the honor after entering a National Christmas Tree Association competition.
Co-owner Rex Korson says it was the sixth time they competed in the national contest and they provided a tree for the home of Vice President Joe Biden in 2015.
