(Grand Rapids, MI) – A 67-year-old Grand Rapids man will spend the next two years in federal prison after being convicted of threatening to kill President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. James Donald Vance Jr. posted the threats on Bluesky in March and April of this year and also threatened Donald Trump Jr. in a March 7th post.
U.S. Attorney Timothy VerHey says when he posted the threats against Trump and Vance “simply because he disagreed with them, he crossed a line we all understand and so had to be punished.”
